OpenCaddie was founded in 2026 by Cody Bolitho and is based in San Diego, California. Learn more at opencaddie.ai.

OpenCaddie is an LLM-native AI golf coach for recreational golfers. Where most golf-analytics tools stop at charts and dashboards, OpenCaddie completes the coaching loop: it reads the player’s launch-monitor sessions and on-course rounds, diagnoses the symptom from ball-flight data, prescribes specific named drills from a 58-drill catalog, and adapts the next session based on what worked.
The product supports TrackMan, SkyTrak, Foresight, GSPro, FlightScope, Rapsodo, Arccos, and Garmin out of the box. Pro plans are $14.99 per month or $144 per year, with a $1 first-month trial. OpenCaddie was founded in 2026 by Cody Bolitho, a 20-year data and applied-AI veteran, and is built and operated as a solo company headquartered in San Diego, California.

Cody Bolitho is the founder of OpenCaddie. He has spent 20+ years in data, business intelligence, and applied analytics, with the last 3 years leading applied AI strategy and ML platform work in enterprise AI and governance roles.
He built OpenCaddie as a solo founder after observing a gap between consumer golf-data tools and how PGA professionals actually coach. “Most golf apps wrap an LLM around a CSV,” Cody says. “I built OpenCaddie the other way around: coaching layer first, then let the model do its job inside it. The lesson I keep learning is that the model is the small part. What makes the output useful is everything around it: retrieval, scaffolding, feedback loops, evaluation.”
Cody plays to a ~13 handicap and is based in San Diego. He is available for interviews via cody@opencaddie.ai.
