Why I’m Building This

I’ve played golf since I was 16 (now much, much older). As my love for the sport has steadily increased over my lifetime, unfortunately my game has not. YouTube videos, Instagram influencers, even expensive swing coaches haven’t been able to get me to single digit HCP. I didn’t understand with all the technology available today there was nothing that connected all my data (remember, data nerd), identified long term trends, and could provide specific drills to improve.

So I started building one, a (reasonably-priced) coach that reads my shots and writes a personal plan. With the models’ ability to be trained by real golf coaches, and learn over time, I can turn a simple data collection activity into true coaching and measured improvement. While testing I have found improvements in my scoring, but what I didn’t expect, was to be encouraged to go out more often.

My success criteria is simple, at least 1 person can improve their game or be inspired to get out to the range.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah, one of the places I came back from knowing exactly how much room my game still had to grow after shooting exactly 99, lol.

Who’s behind this

A bit about me

I’m Cody. I’ve spent about 20 years working in data and applied AI, most recently on enterprise AI strategy and machine-learning platforms. Building a coach that reads your golf numbers and writes you a plan is the part I actually know how to do.

The rest comes from being a frustrated golfer. I got tired of tools that were either priced for elite players or dashboards with an AI summary bolted on top, so I built the one I wanted for myself. Something that looks at everything I’ve logged and tells me what to go work on.

It’s just me here. When you email support, I’m the person who reads it and writes back.
