When Mully updates
Most of your coaching keeps itself current. You do not have to press anything to get today's plan, and you will not find yesterday's numbers sitting behind a button. Here is what refreshes when, and the few things that wait until you ask.
The short version: upload data or finish a session and the coaching follows. How Mully works covers what happens inside each of these once it starts.
Keeps itself current
These rebuild when something changes in your game. You can open OpenCaddie after a session and the work is already done.
Your Practice Station
Updates on its ownThe drills for today, the focus behind them, and Mully's reasoning.
- What makes it update
- It rebuilds by itself when you finish a session, upload a launch monitor file, or save a round. Finish a session and the next one starts building straight away.
- What you can do
- There is a Regenerate button if you want a different plan before any of that happens. It opens once a day, and sooner if new data has landed.
Your range session read
Updates on its ownMully's read on the session you just uploaded.
- What makes it update
- It writes itself as soon as a launch monitor file finishes importing.
Your on-course read
Updates on its ownMully's read on how your rounds are actually scoring.
- What makes it update
- It updates when you save a round or import a batch of them.
Your bag gapping read
Updates on its ownWhere the gaps and overlaps are between your clubs.
- What makes it update
- It updates a few seconds after you add or change a club. There is no button, because your bag is the button.
Session notes from Mully
Updates on its ownA short reflection on the session you just finished, and one thing for next time.
- What makes it update
- It is written automatically when you save a session, practice or warm-up.
Your trajectory
Updates on its ownWhere each part of your game is heading, in Mully's words.
- What makes it update
- It refreshes at most once a day, and only after new data has landed.
Mully's Game Plan
Updates on its ownThe four-station read on where your strokes are going, and the plan to get them back.
- What makes it update
- It refreshes on its own about once a week, once there is a new round or range session behind it. Practice sessions on their own do not rebuild it, because it is built from rounds and range data.
- What you can do
- Regenerate builds it now instead of waiting for the weekly refresh. It is also how you get your first one.
Waits for you
These are tied to a moment only you know about, so they stay put until you say so.
Your pre-round warm-up
When you askA short warm-up built for the round you are about to play.
- What makes it update
- This one never builds itself, because it belongs to a specific round rather than to your week.
- What you can do
- Build it when you know you are playing. Pin a course first and it will use the tee and elevation.
Ask Mully about this shot
When you askA read on one shot, on demand, inside StrikeView.
- What makes it update
- Only when you ask. Nothing is saved, so you can ask about the same shot twice and get a fresh look.
- What you can do
- Tap it on any shot in the replay.
Why there are limits on rebuilding
Each plan can be rebuilt once a day, and sooner whenever new data lands. That is deliberate rather than a restriction: coaching that changes its mind every hour is not coaching, and a plan you have not worked yet has nothing new to say. If the button is greyed out, hovering it will tell you what it is waiting for.
Where a plan is a few days old, the app says so on the plan itself, so you never have to guess whether you are reading something current.
